Memory 1 (Game 95) - Peppo's Identity

What it is
[The scene: Lunch at the Count's en suite]
Count: Please, do not concern yourselves over the matter. It served as a pleasant diversion for me.
Albert: But I have to do something to repay you...
Count: In that case, might I ask one favor of you?
Albert: Anything at all! Just name it!
Count: I should like to take up residence in Paris at some point.
Albert: That's wonderful!
Count: However... a rustic aristocrat such as myself has no connections in Paris. As such, might I impose on you to act as my intermediary into Parisian society?
Albert: Think nothing of it!
Count: In that case, I shall call on you on May 22nd, three months from this day... to commemorate the events of this day.
Albert: [Getting up and putting the pocket watch on the table]
Count: [Gasp] Where in the world did you find this?
Albert: I found it. At the Opera House.
Count: Oh, so that's where it was! It shames me to say it, but I have looked everywhere for it. This, too, shows that there is some bond between us. Please accept it with my gratitude. Think of it as a small token of our friendship.
Albert: Really?!
Count: It will serve to freeze the memory of this day, this hour, in time. A memory which belongs to us alone.
Albert: Thank you so much! I'll cherish it!
Count: Carnival has ended, so what are your plans now?
Franz: [Cutting in] We're going to cut our trip short and take the evening shuttle back to Paris.
Albert: Hey, wait a minute! I've already made plans of my own!
Franz: You never learn, do you? And what "plans" might these be?
Albert: What do you mean? [Looking away] ... It's none of your business.
Count: [Chuckling] Have you arranged ... a rendezvous, perhaps?
Albert: [Going red] Eh? Sort of...
Count: Love is a wonderful thing. However... perhaps you have not noticed yet. Or perhaps you knew and arranged the rendezvous regardless. I do hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but... [leans down and whispers something unheard by the audience into Albert's ear]
Albert: A... boy? [Flashbacks to Peppo winking at him coyly] SHE'S A BOY?!

[Back in their own hotel room; Albert and Franz are packing]
Albert: [While throwing things into his suitcase in annoyance, back to Franz] Come out and say it! You think I'm an idiot, don't you?!
Franz: Not really.
Albert: You're always looking down on me, laughing at me on the inside!
Franz: [Slams his suitcase shut] I'm not laughing at you! If I laughed at every boneheaded stunt you pulled, I'd bust a gut! Besides, you were--
Albert: [Mollified, turns around to face Franz and blushes] ... Thanks. ... You saved me. [Smiles genuinely] ... I'm grateful.
Franz: [Smiles back and laughs to himself.]

What he learned
- He's an aristocrat/someone of some importance in Parisian society.
- He was on vacation somewhere. For something called Carnival?
- He owes these two people (NOBODY's name is mentioned in this scene, dangit) a great deal for saving him from something, though he doesn't know what. One is familiar with him (Franz) while the other one is not so much (the Count).
- He has vague feelings of admiration for (the Count).
- He lives in Paris!
- He was crushing on a girl [spoilers: who turned out to be a boy LOLOL.]
- He is fond of (Franz).
- Faaaaaaaaancy clothes and food and furniture. He is living the good life.

What this means
Gay points +10 for the Count.

... Okay no, more seriously. This was a great general first memory for him; it gives him an idea of his overall socio-economic background without giving away too much or being very traumatic! This memory was a "negative trivial" because he's SUPER embarrassed about the whole thing with Peppo and will try to NEVER MENTION IT TO ANYONE EVER. But overall it's early-series, so it fits in fairly well with Albert's current state in camp, so there's no drastic personality changes or concerns at all really. If anything, he'll be mostly confused as to why someone who was living such a luxurious life came to Sabra.

It's also his first introduction to Franz, and serves as a fairly good one. This person, whoever they are, is very familiar with him and seems to watch out for him a lot.
