Memory 12 (Game 120) - Conversations on the city walls

What it is:

[Scene: Albert, Eugénie, Franz, Maximilien, Valentine, Lucien, Beauchamp and Renaud have all climbed up to the top of the city walls that surround the city of Paris in their time and are walking around them. Storm clouds are starting to roll in.]
Albert: It's been a while since we've been up here, huh?
Eugénie: What a great breeze!
Franz: Those clouds look a bit menacing, though.
[In the distance, a spaceship can be seen to land at the Paris spaceport.]
Lucien: [Walking up to Eugénie, who is staring out at the outer-city below intently] Something interesting catch your eye?
Eugénie: ... Why do you suppose there's a need to divide the world with city walls?
Lucien: [With an expansive arm gesture] The ugliness of the outside world exists for the express purpose of making the beauty of our kingdom stand out all the more.
Albert: Maybe, but there's also plenty of great things outside the walls. Don't you think we should open our eyes a little more?
Beauchamp: [Mockingly] Oh~ have you grown up a little from going on your trip?
Lucien: [Also slightly mockingly] I suppose so. So go ahead and take on all the troubles that exist outside these walls. That should quiet those pangs of boredom of yours a little. [Turns around 180 from where they're all looking at the dull outer city and makes a sweeping gesture at the colorful inner city on the opposite side of the walls.] What we should be looking at is that. The High Court of Justice. [Point.] Danglars Bank. [Point.] And the place your father works at, Space Forces Imperial Headquarters. [Points again.] The triumvirate of power. That is the true "great thing" that we should inherit, don't you think?
Eugénie: [Turns back around to looking at the dull outer city again] To me, it feels like we're the ones who have been sealed in.
[Soon after that, the storm breaks above them and everyone gets drenched. The girls opt to go home and get dry, while the boys drive to Albert's place to await the arrival of the Count.]

What he learned: Nnnnnot much. Bit of a nothing memory really. More confirmation that his family is/was at the very top of society, etc.

What this means: Again, not much. Perhaps more distaste for his old life.
