Fufu, wrote a detailed summary of this scene (+ a few others) while I was writing up Albert's memory registry, so no transcribing this time.

What it is:
Albert meets Eugénie at a cafe. They make small talk and discuss her mother's condition, which seems to be fine. Eugénie changes the subject to tell him that she'll finally be making her piano concert debut in the opera house and gives him a ticket. He's genuinely excited and happy for her.

Albert then returns home happy, only to have his parents tell him that the Danglars family has called off his engagement to Eugénie. Albert is confused and alarmed, as he only just saw Eugénie and yet heard nothing about it. He returns to his room, confused, where Peppo is cleaning. She asks him why he doesn't just ask Eugénie himself what's going on, but Albert replies that the problem is probably bigger than just the two of them. He wonders what her feelings on the matter are? Peppo comments that perhaps Albert is only just beginning to understand how important she is to him now that he's lost her.

What he learned:
- His engagement to Eugénie wasn't called off because of his Father's scandal! (So... why?) Clearly this memory takes place BEFORE the piano concert memory AND the scandal one.
- Starting to understand a little where the SUDDEN FEELINGS from the piano concert memory came from.
- Peppo is DEFINITELY a maid in his household. ... Wtf how did that even happen, anyway.

What this means:
+50 ANGST OVER NOT-GIRLFRIEND :(
Albert's gotten back now a memory where he doesn't love Eugénie, a memory where he's confused over whether he does or not, and then a memory where he does love her. HOWEVER at this point, given the specific things he's remembered, he's fairly sure there's no chance they'll ever be able to get together, because she's aristocracy and he's ... not! Anymore. So he will just sit and quietly angst about how he has the shittiest luck in love. SHOULD'VE JUST STAYED FRIENDS. BAW.

Taken on: Day 197 lololo whoops taken after the others because I forgot about it.
